Website Design:
My first term in the MET program actually led me to learning about website design. I managed to get a website editing program, and created several websites for group projects (ETEC512, ETEC522). For a belated birthday present, my fiancé bought me my own domain (probably so I'd quit using his all the time), and I used it to create more projects. As procrastination tools, I also used it to create a website for my cat, Tinkerbell, one for my father to try to help him in his job search, one to help him in his new business, and one for my upcoming wedding. My most recent creation is this website for my E-portfolio, which was originally created on Google Sites, and then I copied the information and files over here. I haven't created anything fancy so far, I'm mostly trying to learn a bit of how programs and browsers use the code, and become comfortable with them (and the code).

Photography:
Over the past year or so I've become increasingly interested in photography. In university I bought my first real camera, a Kodak Easyshare, a 6.1 mp camera with 10X Optical Zoom. In May of 2008, I was forced to change cameras, and found the Kodak Easyshare 712IS, a 7.1 mp camera with 12X Optical Zoom and image stabilization. I love this camera, and so far all of the pictures I have taken that I consider 'photography' worthy have been with this camera. Recently I upgraded yet again, and now have, in addition to the Kodak, a Nikon D40. I am hoping that this camera proves to be as great as I have been told (mostly just that a DSLR will do more for me than a simple point-and-shoot).

The background pictures on this website were taken with the Kodak camera. You may also browse some other photos I've taken with the Kodak in the Gallery, located below.
